No. The portable .exe runs from any folder you can write to (Desktop, Documents, OneDrive, USB stick). Optional auto-start writes a single Run-key entry under your user hive (no machine-wide changes).
Yes. We ship both a portable .zip and a signed Inno Setup installer. The installer adds a Start Menu shortcut and an Add/Remove Programs entry. Both are functionally identical at runtime.
