The time tracker for consultants
who live in five customer accounts at once

Auto-detects which customer you are working on from your active browser tab. Locks submitted weeks. Generates branded PDF invoices per customer. One licence covers Mac and Windows. Hours never leave your machine.

EUR 5/month or EUR 50/year Per-customer rates Manager approval optional Windows + macOS

What you get: the accuracy-of-billing layer for consulting work.

Per-customer hourly rates with 15-minute precision, lockable submitted weeks, branded PDF invoicing, Excel/CSV export, and multi-device sync via any folder you already replicate. Plain JSON files on your own machine - pairs cleanly with the accounting package you already use.

What consultants actually use this for

Use case 1

Switching context all day

Open Salesforce account A, work on a Case. Switch to Dynamics for client B. Then a Jira ticket for client C. The app detects each switch and prompts to switch the timer. One click, you keep moving.

Use case 2

Billing in 15-minute increments

Configurable rounding (off, 5, 10, 15 minutes). Idle prompt with split lets you allocate a 30-minute gap across two customers fairly when you switched mid-task.

Use case 3

Submitting locked weekly timesheets

Submit Friday afternoon, the week locks, no accidental edits change historical bills. If a manager rejects, the week returns to draft for fixes - with an audit note.

Use case 4

Branded invoices per customer

Each customer has its own hourly rate. Generate a PDF invoice with your company logo, address, VAT number and the period covered, line-itemed by project at the per-customer rate. Email it directly.

Use case 5

Working from a hotel / airport / VPN

Fully offline. Optional version check can be disabled. Licence is RSA-PSS-signed locally - no server contact required to validate. Wifi outage does not stop your billable day.

Use case 6

Audit trail on demand

JSON files on your machine archivable forever. Diff with git, grep, archive a year-end snapshot to long-term storage. Your records survive any vendor.

Manager mode (optional)

Pending Approvals window

A manager licence sees submitted weeks across team members in one list. Approve or reject each with a note. Rejected weeks return to draft so the consultant can fix and re-submit.

Shared customer list

Point all team members at a shared customers folder (Dropbox / OneDrive / SMB share). Adding a customer once propagates to everyone. Each consultant still tracks locally and submits weekly.

One licence per role

Buy a manager licence for the partner / engagement lead, user licences for the rest. Same product, both roles, manager just unlocks the approvals window.

Common consultant questions

Does it auto-detect customers from my CRM tab?

Yes - the app reads the title of your active browser tab on your own machine and parses out the record name. Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Asana, Linear and Monday.com are all supported. It never logs into the CRM, never calls any API, and never installs anything inside it.

Can I lock submitted weeks so accidental edits do not change historical bills?

Yes. When you submit a week, every entry is marked locked and the edit dialog refuses to save changes. Rejected weeks return to draft so you can fix and re-submit. This is essential when audit trails matter.

Does it support manager approval workflow?

Yes - optional. A manager licence sees a Pending Approvals window listing submitted weeks across the team and can approve or reject each with a note. By default the workflow is off (single-user / freelancer mode auto-approves on submit).

Can I bill different customers at different hourly rates?

Yes. Each customer record carries its own hourly rate. The PDF invoice and Excel export apply the customer-specific rate per line.

Can I work across multiple devices?

Yes. Point the app at any folder you already sync (Dropbox / OneDrive / iCloud / SyncThing / NAS) and the time entries follow you across desktop, laptop, Mac and Windows.

I already use another time tracker. Can I bring my history?

Clockify CSV: yes, one click - Settings > Import Clockify CSV. Use the "Detailed report" CSV export; the importer maps Project to Client (with a Client-column fallback), creates the customer list automatically, and writes the entries into your local time-entries store.
Other SaaS trackers: no dedicated importer yet. Export from your current tool to CSV, rename the columns to match the Clockify Detailed-report format (the importer is forgiving about exact header names), and run the same import. Native importers for additional formats are on the roadmap.
